Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend split
It is easy to make a relationship but it is hard to keep it strong and long for many and the same happens with actress Keira Knightley and her boyfriend Rupert Friend. They were together for 5 years but now they have decided to part their ways to concentrate more on professional life. Knightley, 25, and the 29-year-old Friend first met when they starred as co-stars in the 2005 movie “Pride & Prejudice” and according to reports the pair ended their relationship in December 2010. “Bend It Like Beckham” star’s father Will Knightley confirms the news to The Sun and said Keira and Friend have broken up now she is looking forward to just focus on her acting career. Will added it’s always hard to break a longtime relationship but sometimes you have to take a tough decision and the best thing you can do is to move on and now my daughter is working on her professional commitments.
Friend gained worldwide fame when he played the character of Mr. Wickham in ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and then he was critically acclaimed for his role of Prince Albert in the 2009 movie “The Young Victoria.” It is a fact that Rupert Friend is never been a person who would love to be discussed in media and he never gets happy when someone wants to take his photographs and on the other hand Knightley has some big budget projects to complete and that is reportedly the main reason behind their split. The contrast in their living styles caused them to go their separate ways. Knightley brilliantly performed the character of Elizabeth Bennet in ‘Pride & Prejudice’ for which she earned nominations for Academy Award and Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Actress. She was also praised for her acting in “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy films.
